NIKON STOPS FILM SLR PRODUCTION
Nikon shuts down production of many SLR film
cameras. This came as a shock. I have been a Nikon follower over
twenty years, and my first camera was Nikon 8008. I still use it. MINOLTA
LEAVING CAMERA BUSINESS
After days of Nikon announcement, Minolta
is laying off 3700 workers and getting out of camera business.
Some assets may be sold to Sony who will produce future DSLR
cameras compatible with Minolta mounts.
